The state customs Committee (SCC) of Azerbaijan of 1 February will be put into operation non-Intrusive inspection technology of freight cars in the direction of Russia, said the Minister, Aydin Aliyev at a press conference on Friday, January 29, reports “Center of transport strategies”.
The innovation will allow to carry out check of cargo without having to open or unload the cars.
“This German production system installed on the railway at the entrance and the exit from the customs border of Azerbaijan and will allow you to test large loads in wagons for dangerous goods in motion, not wasting time stopping and unloading,” said Aliyev.
Deputy Chairman of state customs Committee Shahin Bagirov, in turn, announced at a press conference that such equipment in Azerbaijan is already installed at all customs checkpoints on the roads.
“This system is widely used in all countries of the world, Azerbaijan also started to implement it. On the railway this system is being implemented in Georgia and Russia. In the direction of the Russian Federation the new system of checking the cars already installed and will be commissioned from February 1, 2016″, – he noted.
